Lots of good steelhead and summer runs around, but you have to work for every one.All the regular rules apply, long light leaders, accurate casts, small flies. Even then its hard Mel and Phil came out from Aberdeen. In two days it’s safe to say they had at least seven steelhead and a couple of salmon eat the flies, just very few stayed stuck.
Here ios one dandy summer steelhead that stayed on the hook, the guide looks tired and muddy from pushing the stupid boat down a river that had very little water in it. A little more rain and cool weather will help a lot.
